Naalikeram arachu chertha naadan unakka maanthal meen curry (Manthal - Indian sole fish)



Coconut - half piece (grinded)
Small onion - 25 gm
Green chilly - 2 nos
Unakka maanthal (Dry indian sole fish) - 5 pieces (soak in water and peel the skin)
Turmeric powder - half table spoon
Chilly powder - half table spoon
Garlic - 5 pieces skin peeled
Curry leaves


Recipe -

                Put the half piece grinded coconut and half table spoon chilly powder in a mixer and grind it well. Make it an average paste.  Then put the peeled small onions and just grind again for few seconds.

Move the mixture to a cooking pot and add needed water and half table spoon of turmeric powder.  Boil it.  When it starts boiling add the fish, green chilly pieces and cut garlic pieces.  Add salt.

After 10 mnts add few fresh curry leaves. Switch off your stove.

At last add a spoon of fresh coconut oil with the curry.

A very simple tasty dry fish curry is ready for you.  Also you can try this recipe with different fishes.
